LOCAL BUSINESS. INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE.
A clearer view of value for Brisbane businesses
A growing business can look very different on paper from the business an owner manages every day. We help Brisbane owners, buyers and their advisors understand sustainable earnings, commercial risks and the assumptions that shape value before an important decision.
A professional practice in the CBD, a trade business serving Greater Brisbane and a distributor operating across South East Queensland each have different value drivers. We consider factors such as reliance on the owner, repeat customers, staffing and the working capital needed to support growth.
Work directly with our Melbourne-based valuation team through video meetings and collaboration with your accountant or lawyer. Brisbane and Queensland engagements receive a scope tailored to the business and the purpose of the report.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Business valuation FAQs
Which valuation service do I need?
An EOV can suit preliminary planning where an indicative assessment is enough. A formal SME valuation provides more detailed analysis and reporting for an agreed purpose. Expert witness and litigation engagements address the requirements of a dispute or proceeding. Tell us what you need to achieve and we’ll help you choose.
How do you value a Brisbane business?
We consider the business’s financial performance, maintainable earnings, assets, risks and relevant market evidence. Depending on the engagement, we may use income, market or asset-based approaches. The report explains the approach and assumptions behind the conclusion.
Can you help with a legal, tax or shareholder matter?
Yes. We provide valuations for these purposes, with the report and scope agreed at the outset. We can work with your accountant or lawyer to clarify the intended use and relevant reporting requirements.
How long will my valuation take?
Timing depends on the report type, business complexity and available information. We confirm an expected timeframe when scoping your engagement. If you have a deadline, tell us in your initial enquiry so we can assess availability.
What do I need for the first conversation?
Simply tell us a little about your business, why you need a valuation and when you need it. After that, we’ll guide you through the relevant financial information and provide a tailored request. You don’t need to prepare a full document pack before contacting us.
Do you have an office in Brisbane?
Our headquarters are in Melbourne. We service Brisbane and QLD through video meetings, secure document exchange and direct collaboration with clients and their advisors. In-person attendance can be discussed where the engagement requires it.
Can you assess a Brisbane business that is expanding?
Yes. We consider recent performance alongside the assumptions behind expansion, including staffing, capacity, customer demand and working capital. Growth forecasts need to be assessed in context; increased revenue alone does not establish value. The approach and supporting information are agreed for your engagement.
